The Lead Structural Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and delivering structural engineering activities for offshore oil and gas projects, ensuring full compliance with Saudi Aramco standards and project procedures. The role involves leading engineering tasks across conceptual, FEED, and detailed design phases, as well as providing technical support during construction and offshore installation activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead structural design and analysis for fixed offshore platforms, including jackets, piles, and topsides.
- Oversee conceptual, FEED, and detailed engineering for both new-build and brownfield projects.
- Review and approve engineering calculations, structural drawings, reports, and material take-offs (MTOs).
- Conduct load-out, lifting, transportation, and installation engineering assessments.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment, accuracy, and constructability of project deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring high-quality engineering outputs.
- Support construction and offshore installation phases with engineering expertise.
- Ensure all engineering work adheres to Saudi Aramco standards, company procedures, and industry best practices.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil, Structural, or Marine Engineering.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of offshore structural engineering experience, with a strong background in fixed platform design.
- Proven experience delivering projects in accordance with Saudi Aramco standards.
- Proficient in SACS or similar structural analysis software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage teams in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments.
- Experience in EPC project environments in the region is highly advantageous.
