MECHANICAL DESIGNER (STATIC)

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer (Static) with strong expertise in onshore oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in the Engineering Phase, including FEED, Detailed Design, and Detailed Engineering, with a focus on static equipment design and layout.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and prepare detailed 2D/3D mechanical designs and drawings for static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, etc.) in compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
• Support the preparation of engineering deliverables such as equipment layouts, GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and piping interfaces.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers and other disciplines (Piping, Civil, Electrical, Process, etc.) to ensure accuracy and consistency of design deliverables.
• Provide design input during FEED, Detailed Design, and Detailed Engineering phases.
• Assist in the review of vendor drawings, technical documents, and ensure integration into the overall design.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (ASME, API, etc.), company specifications, and project requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, model reviews, and resolve design-related queries.
• Support the development of Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and provide technical support to procurement teams when required.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6-12 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Designer (Static) in onshore oil and gas projects.
• Strong background in Engineering Phase deliverables: FEED, Detailed Design, and Detailed Engineering.
• Proficiency in design software tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), E3D, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of ASME, API, and other relevant international codes and standards.
• Strong coordination, communication, and teamwork skills.
