STRUCTURAL STEEL INSPECTOR

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Structural Steel Inspector to join our team for a major oil and gas project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural steel inspection and quality assurance, ensuring that all construction activities comply with applicable standards, specifications, and project requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform inspection and quality control activities for structural steel works, including fabrication, welding, erection, and finishing.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to verify compliance with engineering requirements.
• Conduct visual inspections and dimensional checks of structural steel components and assemblies.
• Monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to project quality standards, safety protocols, and schedules.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering, and quality teams to resolve non-conformances and technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel inspection within the oil and gas industry.
• Engineering Diploma in Civil discipline.
• Certified in structural steel inspection or related quality discipline.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, fabrication, and erection practices.
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English (spoken and written).
