MECHANICAL DESIGNER (ROTATING)

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer (Rotating) to join our team for onshore oil and gas projects. The candidate must have proven expertise in the Engineering Phase, covering FEED, Detailed Design, and Detailed Engineering, with a strong focus on rotating equipment design and layout.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and develop 2D/3D design drawings and models for rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, and packaged equipment.
• Generate and review General Arrangement (GA) drawings, equipment layouts, skid layouts, foundation requirements, and piping interfaces.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers and multidisciplinary teams (Piping, Civil, Electrical, Process, etc.) to ensure designs are integrated and accurate.
• Support FEED, Detailed Design, and Detailed Engineering deliverables, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Review and incorporate vendor drawings and datasheets into the design.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.) and company specifications.
• Participate in model reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions to resolve design issues.
• Assist in the preparation of Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and provide support to procurement as required.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 6-12 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Designer (Rotating) in onshore oil and gas projects.
• Strong background in FEED, Detailed Design, and Detailed Engineering phases.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, SmartPlant 3D (SP3D), E3D, or equivalent.
• Excellent knowledge of rotating equipment layouts and associated design requirements.
• Familiarity with API, ASME, and other relevant international standards.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with a proactive approach.
