About the job FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY ARCHITECT
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop architectural designs that adhere to all applicable fire and life safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Review and validate design documents for compliance with QCDD and other local authority requirements.
- Coordinate with design, MEP, and construction teams to integrate fire safety solutions into project designs.
- Prepare and submit QCDD-compliant drawings and documentation for authority approvals.
- Conduct site inspections to verify that construction aligns with approved fire safety designs.
- Advise on fire safety strategies, evacuation routes, fire compartmentation, and fire protection systems.
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory agencies to facilitate approvals and ensure project compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams on FLS requirements.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 10 years experience as an FLS Architect, with a strong background in code compliance.
- Proven track record of successful QCDD approval for multiple projects.
- Strong knowledge of local fire safety codes, NFPA standards, and international best practices.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
