INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL ENGINEER
About the job INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL ENGINEER
As a I&C Engineer, you will be responsible to deliver instrumentation and control engineering design tasks across FEED and EPC project phases. Works under the direction of a Senior I&C Engineer to produce accurate, compliant deliverables on schedule.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and maintain Instrument Index, instrument datasheets, and equipment lists
- Develop I/O lists, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and interconnection diagrams
- Support preparation of cause & effect matrices, control narratives, and P&ID reviews
- Assist in technical bid evaluations and review vendor submittals
- Coordinate with process, piping, electrical, and safety teams for discipline interfaces
- Perform SIL assessments and support functional safety documentation
- Ensure designs meet IEC 61511, ISA, and applicable client specifications
- Maintain deliverable logs and ensure timely submission of documents
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in I&C engineering for oil & gas FEED/EPC projects
- Working knowledge of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools) or similar
- Familiarity with DCS, PLC, ESD/SIS systems and relevant standards (IEC 61511)
- Good understanding of process systems and P&ID interpretation
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
