The Senior Contract Engineer will be responsible for leading and managing all contractual and commercial aspects of onshore oil and gas projects during the Engineering Phase. The role requires a highly experienced professional with a deep understanding of contract administration, procurement, commercial risk management, and ADNOC project standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements.
- Review and evaluate tender documents, bids, quotations, and commercial proposals.
- Oversee project cost control, budget monitoring, and financial tracking.
- Provide commercial guidance and support to project teams, ensuring alignment with company policies and ADNOC standards.
- Manage change orders, claims, and variations in coordination with engineering, procurement, and project management teams.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations on contractual and commercial matters.
- Prepare and submit commercial reports, progress claims, and contract performance reports.
- Mentor and guide junior contract and commercial engineers, providing technical and professional support.
- Ensure all contractual activities comply with project requirements, company procedures, and applicable legal regulations.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Law, Business, or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience as a Contract Engineer or Senior Contract Engineer in onshore oil and gas projects.
- Extensive experience in contract administration, commercial management, procurement, and project cost control.
- ADNOC project experience is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of international contract standards, commercial procedures, and risk management practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be immediately available to join.
