PAINTING/COATING INSPECTOR

We are looking for an experienced Painting / Coating Inspector to join our team for a major oil and gas project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and compliance of painting and coating activities in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform inspection and quality control activities for surface preparation, painting, and coating works on structural steel, piping, and other components.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and procedures to ensure all coating and painting activities meet the required standards.
• Conduct visual inspections and verify surface preparation, coating thickness, adhesion, and curing processes.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor work to ensure proper application techniques, safety practices, and adherence to project quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, quality records, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with construction, quality, and engineering teams to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions as required.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Painting / Coating Inspector in the oil and gas industry.
• Engineering Diploma in a relevant discipline.
• Certification: NACE Level I / II or CSWIP / BGAS Grade 1 / 2, or an equivalent qualification approved by the company.
• Strong understanding of coating systems, inspection techniques, and relevant international standards.
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in English (spoken and written).
