Job summary:


We are looking for an experienced Mechanical BIM Modeler with a strong background in pump station design and modeling. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in 3D modeling using Revit and will be responsible for producing detailed and coordinated mechanical BIM models for water, wastewater, or industrial pump stations, in compliance with project BIM standards and design requirements.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate 3D mechanical models of pump stations using Revit, including pumps, piping, valves, HVAC systems, and associated mechanical equipment

  • Generate coordinated layouts, general arrangement drawings, sections, and detailed shop drawings

  • Work closely with mechanical engineers and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure design intent is met

  • Integrate mechanical models with structural and electrical disciplines using BIM coordination workflows

  • Apply BIM standards, including LOD requirements, naming conventions, and project templates

  • Participate in clash detection and model coordination using tools like Navisworks or BIM 360

  • Revise models and drawings based on markups, design changes, and as-built information

  • Support quantity take-offs, schedules, and model-based reports

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical modeling with a focus on pump stations or industrial utility facilities

  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit for mechanical systems

  • Familiarity with water and wastewater process equipment and layouts

  • Understanding of BIM level of development (LOD) standards and coordination processes

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical detailing, piping systems, and equipment placement

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in collaborative BIM environments

Preferred qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related field

  • Experience working on municipal infrastructure projects or industrial utility facilities

  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 or local BIM mandates

  • Knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, BIM 360, or other BIM collaboration tools
