We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Planning Engineer to support a major Saudi Aramco project. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting to ensure alignment with Aramco's standards and execution strategy. This is a site-based role requiring close coordination with construction, engineering, procurement, and client stakeholders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules in Primavera P6, in compliance with Saudi Aramco planning procedures and standards.
- Interface with the client (Aramco) on all planning and progress matters.
- Prepare and submit baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and recovery plans when required.
- Track project progress against the baseline schedule and generate regular reports (weekly, monthly) for both internal and Aramco use.
- Identify and analyze schedule deviations, risks, and delays, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate closely with site engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, and Aramco representatives to gather accurate progress data.
- Support the project team with delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) claims as per Aramco contractual requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco standards (SAES, SAEP, GI, etc.) in all planning activities.
- Conduct progress and coordination meetings and presentations with Aramco planners and project management.
- Develop manpower histograms, resource loading charts, and progress S-curves.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Planning Engineer, with at least 3 years on Saudi Aramco projects.
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and other planning tools.
- Solid understanding of EPC project phases, construction workflows, and Aramco project procedures.
- Familiarity with Saudi Aramco Project Management Team (SAPMT) and their reporting standards.
- Proven experience in schedule risk analysis, progress reporting, and EOT claim preparation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Aramco SAP number or previous Aramco project approval is highly desirable.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) preferred
- PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) a plus
- Saudi Aramco CBT (Computer-Based Test) cleared an advantage
