ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret electrical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure proper installation and execution of all electrical works on-site.
• Supervise and inspect electrical installations, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and ELV systems to ensure compliance with project standards and local authority regulations.
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical works.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, method statements, material approvals, and shop drawings.
• Perform load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, and equipment selection as per project requirements.
• Monitor progress of electrical works, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct testing and commissioning of electrical systems and ensure proper documentation and handover.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of safety on-site.
• Attend site meetings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions as required.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 7 years of total experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry, with at least 5 years in the UAE/Gulf region.
• Strong knowledge of local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, QCDD, etc.)
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electrical design software (e.g., ETAP, Dialux, or equivalent).
• Excellent understanding of electrical codes and standards.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
