PROJECT ENGINEER (MEP)

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and delivering MEP-related construction activities.
• Supervise on-site MEP installations including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Review MEP drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals for compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
• Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor and track project progress, report issues or delays, and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Participate in site inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Maintain proper documentation, including daily site reports, material logs, and correspondence with stakeholders.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of overall experience in MEP construction, with at least 5 years in the UAE/GCC.
• Solid understanding of MEP systems installation and coordination in commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with local authority requirements (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defense, etc.)
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project tracking tools.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be currently residing in the UAE.
