SENIOR FOUL SEWER ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities :

• Independently prepare conventional analytical models and assist with the development of more complex models under supervision
• Produce clear, well-organized, and accurate design calculations that support project requirements
• Apply standard engineering principles to design scenarios, including those not fully defined by existing codes, with guidance
• Use advanced engineering methods to analyze and solve technical challenges with reduced supervision
• Collaborate effectively with project teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of design outputs
• Review design deliverables prepared by peers and less experienced engineers for accuracy and compliance
• Track task-level design hours and maintain accountability for time spent on deliverables
• May oversee junior team members, providing input on performance and development
• Provide technical direction and support to designers and CAD staff
• Coordinate with clients on project-related tasks, ensuring clear and consistent communication on technical matters

Key Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, with a focus on infrastructure and foul sewage system design
• Strong understanding of standard engineering principles, techniques, and analysis methods applied to moderately complex assignments
• Proficiency in core civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, SewerCAD, InfoWorks), with working knowledge of more advanced tools
• Ability to understand and apply engineering principles within software platforms with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with the setup and production of standard design drawings and documentation
• Proficient in standard detailing practices and capable of selecting appropriate specifications
• Experience drafting technical reports with guidance and oversight
• Working knowledge of QA/QC procedures and commitment to quality in all deliverables
• Ability to manage and track personal schedules and task progress, including awareness of task durations and deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and management across technical and non-technical topics
