We are hiring a highly experienced Senior Electrical Field Engineer to join our team on ADNOC onshore oil and gas projects based in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting site construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and must have a solid track record of working on ADNOC projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and provide technical guidance during installation, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of electrical systems including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, lighting, and earthing systems.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, equipment datasheets, and vendor documents.
  • Support construction teams in resolving site technical queries (TQs) and assist in the preparation and response to RFIs.
  • Ensure all electrical works are executed in compliance with ADNOC specifications, project standards, and international codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.).
  • Conduct and witness inspections, loop checks, and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, instrumentation, and mechanical teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of electrical activities.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and energization activities.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to project schedule and quality standards.
  • Review and approve method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and material submittals related to electrical scope.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to project management and client representatives.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical engineering for oil and gas projects.
  • Mandatory experience working on ADNOC onshore projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge in electrical systems used in oil and gas installations.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC procedures, design specifications, and approval processes.
  • Experience with hazardous area classification and ATEX-certified equipment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environment.
