We are looking for a Piping Engineer with proven experience in both FEED and Detailed Design phases of major onshore oil & gas projects, preferably within ADNOC Group standards and practices. The role involves delivering high-quality piping design and engineering deliverables that meet ADNOC Onshore specifications, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop conceptual piping layouts and routing studies to support process design and facility layout.
  • Participate in preparation of design basis, engineering philosophies, and Piping Design Criteria.
  • Identify long-lead piping items and provide input for early procurement strategies.
  • Prepare and review preliminary piping material classes and valve datasheets.
  • Support development of plot plans, equipment layouts, and 3D model reviews.
  • Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, and HSE teams to finalize layout considerations.
  • Ensure FEED deliverables align with ADNOC Onshore guidelines and Project Management Team (PMT) expectations.
  • Prepare and review detailed piping isometrics, general arrangement drawings, and support details.
  • Perform pipe stress analysis using Caesar II and ensure proper selection of supports, expansion loops, and flexibility analysis.
  • Finalize piping material specifications and valve procurement documentation.
  • Review vendor documents, conduct technical bid evaluations (TBE), and ensure compliance with project specs.
  • Support 3D model development and clash resolution in tools such as SmartPlant 3D or E3D.
  • Issue construction deliverables including tie-in packages, test packs, and installation drawings.
  • Interface with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams during execution.
  • Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, and constructability review workshops.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 7-15 years of experience in piping engineering in oil & gas projects with significant experience in both FEED and Detailed Design.
  • At least 3 years of relevant ADNOC project experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Caesar II, AutoCAD, SmartPlant 3D, Navisworks, and piping spec generation tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of international piping codes (ASME B31.3/B31.4/B31.8), NACE, API standards.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC Onshore design specifications, philosophies, and approval workflows.
  • Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills.
  • ADNOC-approved experience or prior ADNOC project exposure is highly desirable.
  • HSE awareness and participation in risk assessments (HAZOP, SIL, etc.).
