About the job MECHANICAL BIM COORDINATOR
Mechanical BIM Coordinator is responsible for managing, coordinating, and delivering the mechanical BIM models and drawings in compliance with project requirements, design standards, and industry best practices. This role serves as the primary liaison between mechanical engineering, BIM teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely BIM deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and update 3D mechanical models using Revit or other BIM software in alignment with project design.

Coordinate and clash-detect mechanical services with other disciplines (architecture, structural, electrical, etc.) using Navisworks or similar tools.

Ensure mechanical models and documentation comply with project BIM execution plans, local codes, and industry standards.

Facilitate coordination meetings and communicate model updates, issues, and design changes with project teams.

Maintain up-to-date BIM models and associated documentation, ensuring accurate integration of design revisions.

Generate detailed mechanical shop drawings and coordinated services drawings.

Assist in the creation and maintenance of BIM libraries, templates, and project-specific content.

Provide technical support to mechanical and BIM team members.

Work closely with site teams to resolve coordination issues and support construction requirements.
Key Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM coordination, with a focus on mechanical systems.

Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and BIM 360 or similar CDE platforms.

Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

Experience in clash detection, coordination workflows, and interdisciplinary model management.

Familiarity with international standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, and local building codes.

Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit MEP or similar credentials.

Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or building projects.
-
Familiarity with ISO 19650 and other BIM-related standards.
