About the job ELECTRICAL BIM COORDINATOR
Electrical BIM Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, and management of electrical BIM models and documentation. The role ensures accurate design integration, clash-free coordination with other trades, and compliance with project standards and BIM execution plans. The coordinator works closely with design, BIM, and site teams to support project delivery from design through construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage 3D electrical models using Revit or other BIM platforms in alignment with project requirements.
- Perform clash detection and resolution using Navisworks Manage or similar coordination tools.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to ensure accurate and conflict-free electrical layouts.

Produce coordinated electrical shop drawings, cable tray routing, lighting layouts, and device placement.

Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project specifications, and applicable standards.

Support project teams by providing technical input on electrical systems and model-related issues.

Maintain and update electrical BIM content, libraries, and project templates.

Participate in coordination and design review meetings; track and resolve coordination issues.

Ensure integration of design changes and updates into the BIM model and documentation sets.

Collaborate with site teams to ensure constructability and field accuracy of electrical systems.
Key Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM coordination, with a focus on electrical systems.

Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and BIM 360 or similar CDE platforms.

Strong understanding of LV/MV electrical systems, lighting, power distribution, and ELV systems.

Familiarity with international electrical standards such as IEC, NEC, or BS7671.

Experience in multi-disciplinary coordination and model-based collaboration.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team under tight project deadlines.
Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit MEP or equivalent.

Experience on large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or industrial projects.

Knowledge of ISO 19650, COBie, and data-rich model workflows.
