PURPOSE OF THE JOB -

This role will focus on providing on-site support for the construction of hospitality projects. Your in-depth knowledge of hotel design and construction will be invaluable in ensuring projects are built according to plan, maintaining high quality standards, and resolving any issues that arise during the construction process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -

  • Review and interpret architectural drawings and specifications for assigned hotel projects.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, identify potential deviations from the design, and ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and punch lists.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and other project stakeholders to address concerns and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with the design intent and building codes.
  • Assist with resolving construction issues and recommending solutions that maintain project quality and schedule.
  • Conduct inspections of building elements and finishes to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings, construction meetings, and project closeouts.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment on the construction site.
  • May assist with the preparation of as-built drawings.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS-

  • Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.) degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Site Architect or similar role, with a strong focus on hotel projects.
  • Proven understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing for hospitality projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of building codes and industry standards relevant to hotel construction.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
