UTILITY (BUILDINGS) BIM MODELER

Job summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented utility building modeler with a minimum of 5 years of experience in 3D modeling and drafting using AutoCAD and Revit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating utility building models for infrastructure, industrial, or commercial projects, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with project standards and codes.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 3D BIM models for utility buildings using Revit and AutoCAD

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design intent is captured in the models

• Prepare construction documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and details

• Implement project-specific BIM standards and ensure model accuracy and clash detection

• Perform quality control reviews of drawings and models

• Update models based on markups, design changes, or as-built information

• Participate in project meetings and provide technical support for modeling issues

• Ensure all modeling work complies with project requirements and local regulations

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in modeling utility buildings or related structures

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit (MEP and Architecture)

• Strong understanding of utility systems (mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)

• Familiar with BIM coordination and Navisworks (preferred)

• Knowledge of construction methods and materials

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

• Good communication and documentation skills
