PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Site Inspector (AGL) who would be overseeing and ensuring the safety and efficiency of airfield operations. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inspections and Maintenance:

  • Conduct regular inspections of airfield lighting systems, including runway, taxiways, and apron areas.
  • Inspect instruments and systems used by airline pilots during approach and takeoff.
    Perform maintenance and replacement of light fittings and components.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
    Verify safe working conditions before any electrical work by checking cable termination points using appropriate test equipment.

Intelligent Lighting Systems:

  • Familiarize yourself with intelligent AGL technology.
    Understand how lights switch on and off based on information from airfield surveillance and aircraft tracking systems3.
  • Efficiency and Environmental Impact:
    Collaborate with other airport personnel to optimize traffic flow.
    Minimize maintenance downtime by efficiently replacing specific lights.
    Contribute to reducing the airports carbon footprint by enhancing aircraft routing and taxiing procedures.

Advanced Inspection Techniques:

  • Stay informed about innovative inspection methods, such as the AGLSIS (Airfield Ground Lighting Scanning Inspection System).
    AGLSIS can perform in-depth airfield inspections in as little as 15 minutes using a high-throughput scanning machine installed on a vehicle.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree qualified
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years experience as a Site Inspector AGL
  • Candidates MUST be immediately available and has experience in Airport project
  • Must demonstrate ability to act independently as part of a team
  • Reasonable knowledge of MS Word, Excel
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English essential
  • Good team player, able to communicate effectively with colleagues.
