UTILITY (ITS CIVIL) BIM MODELER

Job summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing detailed civil utility drawings for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) using MicroStation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the design and documentation of underground utility works related to ITS infrastructure, such as duct banks, manholes, cable routing, and communication pathways.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for ITS-related civil utility works using MicroStation

• Prepare layout plans for underground duct banks, handholes, utility corridors, and fiber optic routing

• Coordinate with ITS, electrical, road, and structural teams to integrate utility designs within the overall infrastructure

• Incorporate redlines, design revisions, and as-built information into project drawings

• Ensure compliance with local authority standards and client-specific CAD/BIM guidelines

• Support the preparation of construction drawings, installation details, and trench cross-sections

• Maintain drawing logs and follow document control processes

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD technician or drafter in civil utilities or ITS projects

• Proficiency in MicroStation for utility and civil infrastructure design

• Good understanding of ITS infrastructure requirements, including telecom and power utilities

• Familiarity with trenching, backfilling, and duct/conduit standards

• Ability to interpret utility design drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams

• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and file management
