About the job STRUCTURAL BIM MODELER
Structural BIM Modeler is responsible for creating and managing accurate 3D BIM models for structural elements of infrastructure projects, including bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and other civil structures. The role involves close coordination with engineers, architects, and other discipline modelers to ensure constructible, clash-free models and adherence to project standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain 3D BIM models for structural elements using Autodesk Revit Structure, Tekla Structures, or similar BIM tools.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, reinforcement detailing, and shop drawings for bridges, tunnels, culverts, and other civil structures.
- Coordinate models with other disciplines (civil, MEP, architectural) to ensure clash-free designs using Navisworks Manage or equivalent.
- Ensure models comply with BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project standards, and required Level of Detail (LOD).

Generates quantity take-offs, schedules, and reports directly from BIM models.
- Implement design revisions and update models based on field markups or engineer instructions.
- Collaborate with BIM Coordinators, engineers, and design teams to maintain model accuracy and integrity.

Support project teams during BIM coordination meetings and workshops.
- Maintain and update BIM content libraries for structural components, including precast and cast-in-place elements.

Ensure compliance with local authority standards and project specifications.
Key Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.

Minimum 3 to 6 years of experience as a Structural BIM Modeler in infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in Autodesk Revit Structure, Tekla Structures, and Navisworks Manage.

Knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other design software is an advantage.

Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, steel structures, bridges, and retaining walls.

Familiarity with BIM standards (ISO 19650, LOD, BEP) and best practices for infrastructure projects.

Ability to read, interpret, and implement structural design drawings and specifications.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, including roads, rail, bridges, tunnels, and utilities.

Knowledge of precast and modular construction modeling in BIM.
- Understanding of construction sequencing and coordination for complex civil structures.
- Familiarity with international codes and standards (AASHTO, BS, Eurocodes, etc.).
