The Project IT Services Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, system setup, and IT-related services required for the smooth execution of engineering phase activities (FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detail Design) on ADNOC onshore oil & gas projects. The role focuses on maintaining and supporting engineering applications, project networks, collaboration tools, and IT infrastructure to ensure efficient project delivery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical IT support to engineering and design teams working on ADNOC onshore projects.
  • Support setup, configuration, and maintenance of engineering software applications (SmartPlant Suite, AVEVA, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.).
  • Manage user access, licenses, and performance of project-specific systems and servers.
  • Support deployment and maintenance of project collaboration tools (SPF, Documentum, Aconex, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Ensure smooth operation of network connectivity, printing, backups, and data storage systems related to project environments.
  • Coordinate with ADNOC IT and client-side teams for system compliance, access, and security protocols.
  • Assist engineering teams with data transfer, model integration, and system troubleshooting during FEED and detailed design stages.
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, system configuration logs, and user guides.
  • Participate in system testing, validation, and technical audits to ensure ADNOC standards are met.
  • Provide end-user support and training on project software tools and data management systems.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 0-5 years of experience in project IT support within engineering or oil & gas project environments.
  • Mandatory ADNOC project experience (minimum one project exposure in FEED or Detailed Design phase).
  • Experience supporting Engineering Phase projects FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detail Design.
  • Good understanding of engineering design applications, IT infrastructure, and data management systems.
  • Working knowledge of SmartPlant Foundation (SPF), AVEVA, AutoCAD, Aconex, and SharePoint preferred.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC IT systems, data security protocols, and project collaboration platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Immediate availability to join the project in Abu Dhabi.
  • Hands-on experience with system administration, networking, or server management.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based collaboration systems and data integration tools.
  • Exposure to engineering document management systems (EDMS) and SmartPlant tools environment.
  • Ability to support multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a high-demand project environment.
  • Basic scripting or automation knowledge for IT process improvement is an advantage.
