STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - ELECTRICAL SPECIAL FACILITY

Were looking for an experienced Structural Engineer/Civil Coordinator to oversee civil engineering coordination for 220kV and 33kV GIS substations (ESF area). The ideal professional will have 10-15 years of experience working with consultants or contractors on recently completed 220kV or 400kV substations within TRANSCO/utility projects

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate civil engineering scope for substation infrastructure foundations, cable trenches, equipment pads, and structure integration.
• Review and validate civil designs (ETABS/SAFE), interfacing closely with substation layout, electrical, and structural teams to ensure constructability and compliance.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and TRANSCO stakeholders through site execution and handover phases.
• Provide inputs for foundation design, soil investigation review, and civil detailing aligned with TRANSCO standards.
• Support project planning, progress tracking, and preparation of civil deliverables including RFQs, BOQs, and interim reports.
• Maintain high quality control standards and ensure all civil execution meets technical specifications and safety guidelines.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10-15 years of relevant experience in civil coordination for high-voltage substations (220kV or higher), preferably within TRANSCO projects.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency in ETABS and SAFE is mandatory.
• Available to work on-site full-time in the Abu Dhabi office.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledgeable in GCC substation civil standards and regulatory compliance.
