Civil 3D BIM Modeler Dry Utilities is responsible for developing and managing accurate 3D BIM models for external dry utility networks, including electrical, telecommunication, gas, and district cooling systems. The role involves close coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure models and drawings are clash-free, compliant with project standards, and suitable for construction and authority approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain 3D BIM models for dry utilities using Autodesk Civil 3D, Revit, or equivalent BIM software.
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, layouts, profiles, and cross-sections for dry utility networks including:
    
    Electrical and power distribution
    
    Telecommunications and fiber optic networks
    Gas networks
    District cooling systems
  • Perform clash detection and coordination with other disciplines (roads, structural, MEP, and wet utilities) using Navisworks Manage.
  • Ensure all models comply with BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project standards, and required Level of Detail (LOD).
  • Generate quantity take-offs (QTOs), schedules, and reports directly from the BIM model.
  • Update models based on design revisions, field markups, and coordination inputs.
  • Collaborate with engineers, CAD technicians, and other BIM modelers to maintain accuracy and consistency of design information.
  • Support BIM Coordinators in implementing company and project BIM standards.
  • Ensure deliverables comply with local authority requirements (e.g., RTA, ADM, Dubai Municipality, Saudi Aramco, etc.).
  • Maintain and manage BIM content libraries for dry utility components.

Key Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in infrastructure projects with a focus on dry utilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D (mandatory).

  • Experience in Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and optionally Revit or 
  • Solid understanding of dry utility systems design and layout.

  • Knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650, LOD, BEP).

  • Ability to read, interpret, and implement engineering drawings and design documents.
  • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Prior experience in large-scale infrastructure or mixed-use development projects.
