SERVICE NOW CMDB CONSULTANT

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced CMDB Consultant with deep expertise in CMDB and IT Asset & Configuration Management to join our team on a 1-year onsite engagement in KSA.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ITIL practices, ServiceNow platform administration, and direct experience supporting SAMA (Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority) regulatory compliance and audits within the banking sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage CMDB design, implementation, optimization, and governance on the ServiceNow platform.
• Oversee IT Asset and Configuration Management processes end-to-end.
• Ensure CMDB data accuracy, integrity, and completeness in alignment with ITIL best practices.
• Support and lead SAMA IT Governance Framework (ITGF) compliance initiatives, including preparation for and participation in SAMA audits related to CMDB.
• Collaborate with internal IT, security, and compliance teams to align configuration management practices with regulatory requirements.
• Define and enforce CMDB policies, procedures, and data governance standards.
• Provide advisory and hands-on support for ServiceNow modules including Discovery, Service Mapping, and CSDM (Common Service Data Model).
• Mentor junior team members and transfer knowledge to internal staff.
• Produce audit-ready reports, dashboards, and documentation to support regulatory reviews.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of overall IT experience, with significant focus on ITSM and ITIL-aligned roles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform, particularly CMDB, Asset Management, Discovery, and Service Mapping modules.
• Proven CMDB subject matter expertise — recognized as a CMDB expert with a track record of successful implementations and governance programs.
• Strong ITIL knowledge; ITIL v3 or v4 certification is required.
• Demonstrable experience working with SAMA requirements for IT Governance Frameworks (ITGF) and participation in SAMA audits specifically related to CMDB within KSA banks or financial institutions.
• Deep understanding of Saudi banking regulatory environment and compliance expectations.
• ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CIS – ITSM, CIS – ITAM, or CSA) are highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Arabic language proficiency (spoken and written) is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience embedded within a KSA bank or financial institution.
• Familiarity with NCA (National Cybersecurity Authority) frameworks and their intersection with CMDB/configuration management.
