TEST ENGINEER (CORE BANKING)

Engineer (L4) | Reports to: Manual Lead / Architect

• A mid-level test engineer executing manual testing on Tier-1 banking systems. You will bridge the gap between senior architects and junior analysts, carrying working test-design responsibility on critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual tests on Tier-1 banking applications including ICS, CRM Retail, and Postilion
• Design test cases for Tier-1 features under Senior IC peer review
• Maintain the regression test suite for assigned Tier-1 applications
• Support UAT execution on assigned Tier-1 changes
• Log defects with engineering-grade evidence and clear reproduction steps
• Support Test Analysts during peak testing weeks

Essential Skills Required

• 4+ years in software testing
• ISTQB Foundation certification
• Manual test design and execution skills
• Proficiency with test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, Xray)
• Defect management and evidence capture skills
• Working knowledge of SQL for data verification
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Desirable Skills

• ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst certification
• Banking or financial services domain experience, particularly on core banking systems
• Experience with Tier-1 or mission-critical application testing
• Familiarity with UAT coordination and business-stakeholder engagement
