ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
About the job ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in Offshore Oil & Gas Projects with strong experience in FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and Detailed Engineering phases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working on ADNOC Offshore projects, particularly BLOCK 5 OFFSHORE, and a strong understanding of international codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute and support electrical engineering activities during FEED and Detailed Design phases.
- Perform design, sizing, and technical evaluation of electrical systems including power generation, distribution, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and lighting.
- Prepare and review electrical datasheets, specifications, requisitions, and engineering deliverables.
- Conduct technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and civil disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, ADNOC Offshore standards, and international codes (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API, etc.).
- Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, SIL studies, and model reviews.
- Support procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities as required.
- Resolve technical queries and provide engineering solutions during project execution.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 8–12 years of experience in Oil & Gas engineering, with a focus on Offshore Electrical Systems.
- Proven experience in FEED and Detailed Design phases.
- Mandatory experience working on ADNOC Offshore Projects.
- Experience on BLOCK 5 OFFSHORE projects is highly preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power Distribution Systems, Switchgear, Transformers, UPS Systems, MCCs, Lighting, and Earthing Systems.
- Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and ADNOC Offshore standards.
- Familiarity with engineering software and tools used for electrical system design and analysis.
