Electrical BIM Modeler will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within infrastructure and pumping station projects. The role requires hands-on expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks, with a solid understanding of MEP design principles and infrastructure coordination requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed 3D Electrical models using Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks in accordance with project BIM standards.
  • Coordinate MEP services with structural, architectural, and civil disciplines to ensure clash-free and constructible models.
  • Prepare coordinated shop drawings, sections, and installation details from BIM models.
  • Review consultant and subcontractor BIM deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and design intent.
  • Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection sessions using Navisworks Manage.
  • Support the BIM Coordinator in model setup, federated model management, and data extraction for quantity take-offs or schedules.
  • Implement design changes and maintain model integrity throughout all project phases.
  • Ensure adherence to BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project naming conventions, and quality standards.
  • Generate as-built models and ensure alignment with field conditions during project closeout.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers to translate conceptual and schematic designs into coordinated BIM models.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of models, revisions, and drawing packages.

Key Qualifications:

    • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
    • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Electrical modeling for pumping stations and building projects.
    • Proficiency in Revit (MEP), AutoCAD, and Navisworks Manage is mandatory.
    • Strong understanding of MEP design concepts, shop drawing preparation, and interdisciplinary coordination.
    • Familiarity with international BIM standards (PAS 1192 / ISO 19650) and local authority requirements.
    • Experience in large-scale Design & Build projects is an advantage.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with strong attention to detail
    • Knowledge of BIM 360 / ACC platform for collaboration and document management.
    • Experience in preparing coordinated layouts for mechanical rooms and pumping stations.
    • Ability to interpret and implement engineers design intent into detailed constructible models.
