CIVIL ENGINEER

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and preparing high-quality design deliverables during the Engineering phase (FEED and Detailed Design) for ADNOC onshore oil and gas projects. The role demands strong knowledge of ADNOC standards, local regulations, and international design codes applicable to civil and structural works in oil & gas facilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and review civil and structural design deliverables for onshore oil & gas facilities (e.g., foundations, equipment supports, buildings, pavements, roads, and drainage systems).
• Perform design calculations for foundations, retaining walls, pipe racks, and equipment structures.
• Prepare and review civil drawings, material take-offs, design reports, and specifications in accordance with ADNOC Engineering Standards (ADES / AGES).
• Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, ADNOC standards, and international codes (ACI, BS, ASTM, AISC, ASCE, etc.).
• Interface closely with other engineering disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation) to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, HAZID workshops, and technical meetings.
• Provide technical support during FEED and detailed engineering phases, including review of vendor and subcontractor design deliverables.
• Coordinate with drafting teams for preparation and verification of drawings in AutoCAD / Civil 3D.
• Ensure that all design deliverables are completed within the project schedule and quality standards.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5-10 years of professional experience in civil and structural engineering for onshore oil & gas projects.
• Mandatory ADNOC project experience (minimum one completed FEED or Detailed Design project for ADNOC Onshore / Offshore entities).
• Strong background in Engineering Phase work FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Detail Design (not construction).
• Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, SAFE, ETABS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related design software.
• Sound understanding of geotechnical, foundation, and structural design principles for oil & gas facilities.
• Familiarity with UAE local authority standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Immediate availability to join the project in Abu Dhabi.
• Experience in brownfield modification and tie-in works.
• Knowledge of 3D model review tools (e.g., Navisworks, SmartPlant Review).
• Exposure to engineering deliverable review systems (e.g., SmartPlant Foundation, Documentum).
• Ability to manage multiple design interfaces and support technical queries efficiently.
