We are seeking a highly skilled Subsea Pipeline Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the design and analysis of subsea pipeline systems for offshore oil and gas projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in subsea pipeline design, material selection, and analysis in compliance with industry standards such as DNV, ASME, API, and company-specific specifications (e.g., Saudi Aramco, ADNOC).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform subsea pipeline riser and crossing design using stress analysis software such as CAESAR II or AutoPIPE.
  • Carry out pipeline design and analysis in accordance with DNV standards, utilizing tools such as StableLines, FATFREE, Simbuck, SAGE-3D, and OrcaFlex.
  • Conduct pipeline buckling and stability analyses using ABAQUS or ANSYS (preferred).
  • Develop and validate engineering calculations using Mathcad, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project and code requirements.
  • Provide technical support for pipeline material procurement, including preparation of material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews.
  • Ensure familiarity with Saudi Aramco and ADNOC material and design standards, particularly for cladded pipes, hot induction bends, flexible pipelines, umbilicals, subsea valves, and barred tees.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective subsea pipeline system design.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical workshops.
  • Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and interface with clients and classification bodies as required.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Offshore Engineering (Masters Degree preferred).
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in subsea pipeline design and analysis within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong proficiency in subsea analysis tools such as CAESAR II, AutoPIPE, StableLines, FATFREE, Simbuck, SAGE-3D, OrcaFlex, and Mathcad.
  • Experience in FEA tools such as ABAQUS or ANSYS for global buckling and lateral stability analyses.
  • Good understanding of DNV, API, and ASME codes related to subsea pipelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with project execution phases (FEED, Detailed Engineering, and EPC) and coordination with procurement, installation, and client teams.
  • Previous experience working with major operators such as Saudi Aramco or ADNOC.
