About this role:
Our client is a boutique, newly established insurance brokerage in Hong Kong, specializing in high-touch Employee Benefits and General Insurance solutions. They pride themselves on managing a premium portfolio of corporate accounts and multinational corporations (MNCs).
They are seeking a composed and collaborative professional to join their close-knit team. This role is designed for a service-oriented expert who thrives on client retention and operational excellence. Working alongside the company Directors and the administrative lead, you will ensure a seamless, high-quality experience for a diverse corporate client base.
Position: Client Service Assistant Manager / Manager (Insurance Consultant) Location: Central and Sheung Wan districts
Job Responsibilities
- Client Support & Inquiries: Act as the primary point of contact for insurance policies; manage daily inquiries regarding benefits, coverage, claims procedures, payments, and enrollments.
- Claims Management: Guide clients through the documentation and submission process, following up with insurers on status and escalating complex disputes to account managers when necessary.
- Policy Administration: Facilitate the end-to-end renewal process, including document collection, census data management, and processing member updates (additions/terminations).
- Insurer & Vendor Coordination: Liaise with insurance providers to resolve discrepancies, clarify benefits, and coordinate value-added services like wellness programs or medical cards.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous client records, policy files, and communication logs to ensure full regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
- Strategic Support: Assist Account Managers with client presentations, benefit comparisons, and renewal analysis, handling routine tasks to allow for high-level strategic consulting.
- Customer Experience: Foster long-term trust through professional service, identifying coverage gaps (cross-selling), and gathering feedback to ensure maximum client retention.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 3 years of proven experience in Employee Benefits or General Insurance, ideally within a brokerage or insurance carrier environment.
- Qualifications: Deep knowledge of the Hong Kong insurance landscape. Must hold valid IIQE (Papers 1, 2, 3, & 4) or equivalent professional designations (ANZIIF/LOMA).
- Education: Bachelors degree holder.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with fluency in English and Cantonese. Proficiency in Japanese or Mandarin is considered a significant advantage.
