Job Description:
Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Long Term Structured Residential Facility, Quakertown, PA
Shifts Available: 7 AM - 3 PM / 3 PM - 11 PM Daily
Pay Rate: $33.00 per hour
Duration: Temporary with the potential to become permanent - April 22, 2024 - July 31, 2024
Overview:
Flexible scheduling options across 7 AM - 3 PM and 3 PM - 11 PM shifts every day. Candidates have the liberty to choose their preferred days and shifts.
Role Summary:
In this crucial role, successful candidates will be entrusted with overseeing, coordinating, and directly intervening in various health-related concerns affecting the program's participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain diligent nursing documentation and medication records.
- Educate residents on medication protocols ensuring adherence to physician orders, recorded in electronic MAR.
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including wound care, tracheostomy care, diabetic counseling, among other responsibilities.
- Assess the physical and emotional needs of residents.
- Effectively communicate with the nursing and program staff; escalate significant concerns to the Nurse Manager and Program Director as required.
- Uphold confidentiality and professional discretion at all times.
- Participate in a shadowing program with an active associate for orientation before commencing independent work.
- Perform other duties as mandated.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Pre-hire Requirements:
- Hepatitis B Titer
- Valid Drivers License
- Physical (less than 6 months old)
- Proof of Negative TB
- Required Vaccinations
- PA Criminal Clearance
Physical Requirements:
- This position requires a medium level of exertion: Candidates should be prepared to occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force, frequently exert up to 20 pounds of force, and constantly handle up to 10 pounds.
