SHOP ENGINE REBUILD TECHNICIAN

Industry: Oil & Gas - Midstream Compression

Location: Robstown, Texas

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $20-$36/Hour

Experience: 3-5 Years of compressor maintenance experience

Summary:

This is a full-time Shop Technician position based in Robstown, Texas, reporting to the Shop Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled tasks encompassing maintenance, repairs, and overhauls
• Adhere to all company and customer policies and procedures
• Complete required paperwork as directed
• Continuously enhance skills in alignment with industry technological advances
• Demonstrate and develop leadership skills
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Maintain a professional image

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in compressor and engine maintenance
• Troubleshooting skills for general electronic and mechanical control problems
• Mechanical aptitude
• Availability to work set hours
• Successful completion of drug-related and background testing
• Possession of a full set of hand tools per company standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to attend training classes and/or seminars as required
• General computer skills with the ability to use the computer as a diagnostic tool

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred formal vocational training
• Three to five years of compressor maintenance experience
• Caterpillar and Waukesha engine experience
• Experience with Ariel, GE, and other gas compressors
• Knowledge of emissions controls, Control Panel, and I&E systems

Language Skills:

• Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Valid driver's license with the ability to maintain an acceptable driving record

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Extended periods of standing
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
