Shop Technician - Midland

SHOP TECHNICIAN (MIDLAND, TEXAS)

Position Summary: Full-Time

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Midland, TX

Pay: $20-$40/Hour

Experience: Potential for Entry-Level at low end of pay range

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled tasks encompassing maintenance, repairs, and overhauls at all levels.
• Strictly adhere to company and customer policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork as directed.
• Continuously enhance skills to align with technological advancements in the industry.
• Demonstrate and cultivate leadership abilities.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in compressor and engine maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for general electronic and mechanical control issues.
• Mechanical aptitude is a must.
• Willingness to work set hours.
• Successful completion of drug-related and background testing.
• Possession of a full set of hand tools per company standards.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to attend required training classes and seminars.
• Basic computer skills, with the ability to use a computer as a diagnostic tool.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Formal vocational training is preferred.
• Three to five years of experience in compressor maintenance.
• Experience with Caterpillar and Waukesha engines.
• Familiarity with Ariel, GE, and other gas compressors.
• Knowledge of emissions controls, Control Panel, and I&E.

Language Skills:

• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent lifting of heavy objects.
• Extended periods of standing.
• Regular lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.
