About the job Bus driver
Responsibilities
Drives a variety of diesel- or gas-powered busses/vehicles (12 to 44 passenger seat) to transport passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to time schedule.
Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
Complies with local traffic regulations and reports delays or accidents.
Make repairs and change tires, if needed.
Inspects bus and checks gas, oil, and water before departure.
Loads and unloads baggage or express items checked by passengers.
Transport students between pickup points and school.
Oversees and ensures safety of all passengers by adhering to speed limit signs and designated pick-up/ drop off areas.
Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications
Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
Must have a home country drivers license.
No specific certifications are required.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year experience operating a motor vehicle.
Skills:
Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
Must be able to work under pressure, individually or in a team and be service oriented.
Working Environment
Shift work and/or flexible working hours and/or overtime and/or assigned rest day rotation may be required. Subject environmental conditions activities can occur both inside and outside.
Physical Activities
Physically capable of working in hot or warm weather all year long, with little change in seasons.
