Job Summary:
The Materials Technician plays a vital role in supporting construction and maintenance activities by ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, small tools, and third-party rentals. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventories, ensuring warehouse organization, and supporting field operations with timely material and equipment delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and check in project materials in accordance with delivery and quality standards.

Issue materials, tools, and rental equipment as required for construction and maintenance operations.

Plan and organize warehouse layout for maximum efficiency and safety.

Establish and maintain comprehensive document files and inventory records.

Prepare and submit material reports, usage logs, and related documentation accurately and on schedule.

Coordinate material and equipment movement to various work locations and support site setup.

Maintain warehouse cleanliness, ensure tool and equipment functionality, and assist in general housekeeping and clean-up tasks.

Assist with daily task planning under direct supervision; may explain task instructions to crew members.

Follow all safety protocols and ensure use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Engage in moderate to heavy lifting as needed for materials handling.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in materials handling, warehousing, or construction logistics.

Familiarity with inventory management systems and documentation procedures.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to task completion.

Ability to work under direct supervision and collaborate with team members in a dynamic construction environment.

Physically fit and able to lift moderate to heavy loads safely.
Working Conditions:
This role may involve extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to outdoor environments, depending on the project phase. Strict adherence to safety regulations is mandatory.
