Job Title: Security Guard
Job Summary:
The Security Guard is responsible for safeguarding personnel, property, materials, and equipment at construction and project sites. This role ensures a secure environment by controlling access, monitoring premises, reporting irregularities, and enforcing safety and security procedures in line with company policies and site-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries at the project site.

Verify credentials of employees, visitors, and subcontractors; maintain detailed access logs and visitor records.

Conduct regular patrols of site perimeter, storage areas, and critical infrastructure to deter and detect unauthorized activity.

Respond to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations calmly and effectively; escalate incidents as necessary.

Inspect security systems (e.g., lighting, locks, cameras) and report malfunctions or safety hazards to the Site Supervisor.

Support inventory protection by observing loading/unloading of materials and checking for signs of tampering or theft.

Assist in enforcing site regulations, including PPE compliance, visitor escort requirements, and restricted area control.

Participate in site evacuation drills and emergency response training as directed.

Complete daily activity reports, incident logs, and any required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Maintain a professional demeanor and remain vigilant throughout all shifts, including during extended or overnight hours.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in security, preferably in construction, industrial, or high-value asset environments.

Valid security guard license or certification (as per national/local regulations).

Working knowledge of security systems, access control tools, and incident reporting protocols.

Physically fit; capable of standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.

Excellent observational skills, sound judgment, and a calm, authoritative presence.

Ability to work independently and under direct supervision; clear verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions:
This role requires outdoor work in varying weather conditions, potential night shifts, and physical activity such as walking long perimeters and occasional lifting. Full compliance with safety protocols and use of designated personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
