Our Risk Management Department is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Taguig with the role of Model Risk Management Team Lead.
In this role you will provide enterprise-level ownership and governance of the Bank's Model Risk Management framework, ensuring risks from quantitative, statistical, and judgment-based models are identified, monitored, escalated, and integrated into enterprise risk governance. You will also embed model risk considerations into the Risk Appetite Statement, ICAAP, stress testing, recovery planning, and strategic decision-making while maintaining clear separation from independent validation execution.

What the role will entail
- Own and enhance policy and framework, ensuring alignment with BSP guidelines, Basel standards, and enterprise ERM, ICAAP, and Risk Appetite frameworks
- Define governance standards for model lifecycle, materiality, risk classification, escalation thresholds, and reporting
- Maintain centralized inventory with complete capture of models, clear ownership, defined purpose, lifecycle status, and risk tiering
- Aggregate model information to identify concentrations, dependencies, and overreliance across ICAAP, ECL, stress testing, pricing, and strategic models
- Translate findings into consolidated enterprise risk views for Senior Management and the Board
- Oversee validation governance by reviewing outcomes, identifying systemic issues, and ensuring timely escalation in line with risk appetite
- Prepare dashboards and reports for Senior Management, the Risk Management Committee, and Board-level oversight
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline; Master's degree is an advantage
- At least 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in model risk management, quantitative risk oversight, capital management, or enterprise risk management within a regulated financial institution
- Technical knowledge of Model Risk Management frameworks, lifecycle governance, materiality and tiering, ICAAP and stress testing linkages, and oversight of credit, ECL/IFRS9, pricing, and capital models
- Strong ownership of enterprise outcomes with sound judgment and ability to provide credible challenge at senior levels
- Balance of rigor between technical expertise and practical governance discipline
