Our Information Security and Data Protection team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Makati with the role of Threat Response and Intelligence Head.

In this role you will manage day-to-day cybersecurity operations, including detecting and responding to threats, events, and incidents, while leading the overall cybersecurity program and strategy to strengthen the Banks security posture and resiliency. You will oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of security tools, controls, and risk models, ensuring effective threat mitigation, incident response, and adaptation to evolving cyber risks.

What the role will entail

• Develop and execute the annual cybersecurity operations and monitoring strategy, including budget planning, while leading the Security Operations Center (SOC), managed service providers, and all SOC-related processes and projects.
• Oversee deployment, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of cybersecurity detection systems and tools (e.g., SIEM, threat intelligence, automation), ensuring effective defense of the Banks infrastructure and information assets.
• Lead incident response efforts, including containment and eradication strategies, vulnerability management, and continuous evaluation and improvement of security controls and threat models.
• Establish and manage an operational reporting framework, delivering cybersecurity metrics, trend analyses, and executive-level reports to the CISO, senior management, and oversight committees.
• Direct enterprise-wide threat management services, analyze threat and vulnerability intelligence, maintain a comprehensive threat database, and collaborate with Risk Management teams to escalate and mitigate emerging risks.
• Lead cybersecurity training initiatives and coordinate cross-functional projects with IT, product development, and internal stakeholders to strengthen the Banks overall security posture.

What we're looking for

• Bachelors degree in either Computer Science, Business Management or Management Information Systems
• Certified in security management, risk, and compliance (e.g., CISSP, C-CISO, CISA, CISM, GSEC, CRISC or related certifications)
• Extensive experience managing complex IT and information security programs, preferably within financial services, with at least 5 years of broad technology and infrastructure operations experience
• Proven leadership in managing teams, driving change, and implementing risk management programs, including oversight of vendor-sourced solutions and consultants, supported by strong technical expertise in security technologies and industry best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO, SANS, COBIT, SOX, PCI, HIPAA)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate security risks, program design, and strategy to Board members, senior executives, technical teams, customers, and partners
