Our Compliance team is looking for experienced professionals to join us in Taguig with the role of Regulatory Compliance Officer.

In this role you will assist the Regulatory Compliance Head in coordinating and implementing the Board-approved Banks Compliance System, with a focus on business and compliance risk assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and advisory support.

What the role will entail

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and annually updating the Banks Compliance Program, including compliance risk assessment, monitoring, and advisory support aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify and assess applicable laws and regulations, prioritize compliance risks using the Enhanced Compliance Assessment Matrix (ECAM), and coordinate bank-wide implementation efforts.
  • Administer and monitor ECAM submissions, consolidate results for compliance testing and reporting, and support preparation of year-end compliance assessments.
  • Provide compliance advisory services and conduct regulatory and onboarding training programs for various units.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies (e.g., BSP and PDIC), assess policy alignment with regulatory requirements, and coordinate responses to issuances, letters, and surveys.
  • Review and ensure regulatory alignment of policies and procedures, contracts, outsourcing agreements, reports on crimes and losses, and regulatory notifications.
  • Support compliance-related performance evaluations by consolidating results of compliance initiatives and documenting final compliance ratings for submission to relevant units.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelors degree in either Economics or Business
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in bank operations, including at least 2 years in compliance, with proficiency in the Regulatory Supervision framework and familiarity with banking regulations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Aptitude for understanding IT systems; audit experience and general accounting knowledge are an advantage
  • Computer literate, particularly in Microsoft Office applications
