About the job IT Application Specialist
The IT Application Specialist is a regional role, responsible for the management of the lifecycle of IT applications and all solutions that are held within the region itself. This comprises monitoring of the usage and performance of local IT applications, handling of continuous service improvement, and facilitating of necessary changes especially when related business processes change.
Responsibilities
- Manage local applications within the region CHIF (CH, I, and F)
- Ensure applications are up and running in alignment with business requirements and Central IT
- Communicate with business operations and business application managers when there are issues and escalations
- Implement IT service lifecycle management processes
- Support colleagues in the usage of the application,n including application training activities
- Implement IT general controls for cluster applications and any other supporting services
- Manage changes and the integration of applications
- Monitor the availability and performance of the applications portfolio/li>
- Ensure that the full support model is in place, identifying gaps and addressing where needed
- Implement the technical configuration of the application group
- Keep documentation and inventory up to date
- Manage relationship with developers and vendors, test and approve test results
- Manage and control licenses proactively for operational needs
- Reporting all aspects of quality for the assigned applications:
* performance according to underlying SLAs
* user satisfaction
* Usage of the applications
* incidents, problems, service request & changes related to the IT service(s)
Additional Responsibilities
- Manage relationship with SWISS (SPOC)
- Adhere to Swissport IT Policy
- Adhere to Swissport ITSM standards & policies
- Adhere to Swissport IT Enterprise Architecture standards
- Adhere to Swissport IT Program & Program Management standards
- Adhere to Swissport IT Security standards & policies
- Adhere to any other Swissport non-IT compliance standards
- Adhere to the Swissport IT Vendor Management framework
The ideal candidate would have:
- Min 3 years IT Application Management Ownership experience
- Ability to project manage new Application Developments and large technical upgrades
- Clear understanding of ITIL and service management of applications
- Strong positive, Service-oriented attitude
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work and succeed in a dynamic and multi-cultural matrix organization
- A broad understanding of a business or service environment and awareness of the factors that influence business decisions and strategy
- Strong written and oral presentation skills
- Fluent command of oral and written English as the corporate language; knowledge of any other language would be an advantage
