About the job Engineering Process Manager Lean Product Development
As an Engineering Process Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping, standardizing, and implementing product development processes within a global automotive environment. Youll be instrumental in supporting the Lean Product Development Process (LPDP) and aligning engineering practices across departments to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance.
Your focus will be on cross-functional collaboration, continuous process improvement, and supporting change management initiatives related to product lifecycle management and engineering systems such as PLM and ALM tools. You will also contribute to audits, compliance reviews, and the alignment of project specifications with engineering governance frameworks.
This is a global role, reporting to the HQ CTO team, with active involvement in setting standards that span across ZKWs engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement engineering and product development processes (e.g. CP03, LPDP).
- Support the LPDP community in process deployment and operations.
- Coordinate cross-departmental change projects for engineering process optimization.
- Contribute to process standards and ensure lifecycle compliance.
- Stay updated on industry standards (e.g., ASPICE, ISO 26262) and suggest improvements.
- Support internal audits and documentation efforts.
- Act as Group Process Manager with authority over engineering process frameworks.
Requirements:
- Background in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiar with automotive process standards like ASPICE, ISO/IEC 12207, and ISO 26262.
- Experience with tools like Teamcenter PLM, Polarion ALM, and project/document management platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Lean Engineering principles and continuous improvement mindsets.
- Comfortable working across functions in a global, matrixed organization.
