About the job Group Planning & Reporting
We are looking for a highly skilled and driven professional to take responsibility for all Operational and Functional Controlling processes within our client's team.
This role plays a central part in aligning controlling standards across our international sites, ensuring accurate, timely reporting, and supporting data-driven decision-making at both Group and site levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all processes and tasks related to Operational and Functional Controlling at Group and site levels.
- Ensure accurate and timely internal and external reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Deliver standardized Group analyses and top-down benchmarking across the Group.
- Maintain a cost accounting system tailored to customer and organizational needs and ensure it supports effective and timely reporting.
- Ensure consistent planning standards and cost accounting guidelines across all Group sites.
- Maintain and optimize site-specific controlling processes for the Group.
Main Tasks:
- Coordinate functional controlling activities across Group and site levels; define and maintain uniform reporting standards.
- Define cost accounting standards and manage the ongoing operation of the cost accounting system.
- Develop and communicate Group-wide planning specifications and processes.
- Prepare planning letters, including planning assumptions aligned with strategic targets and Balanced Scorecard (BSC) goals.
- Define and standardize cost accounting frameworks (e.g., cost calculation schemes, overhead cost principles, income statement structures).
- Support the development of site-specific controlling structures and implement appropriate evaluation metrics.
- Prepare and deliver regular Group-wide reports, forecasts, and planning documents for Group level.
Your Profile:
- University degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in Operational or Functional Controlling, ideally in an international manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting systems, planning processes, and performance reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured working style.
- High level of communication and coordination ability, especially in a multi-site setup.
- Proficiency in SAP CO, Excel, and other reporting tools.
- Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage.
