At eCollect we cover the end-to-end receivables management process for enterprises: from invoice creation and distribution, over dunning and payment application to pre-legal debt collection and legal procedures. Our FinTech innovation allows the cost-effective processing of even small-sized and cross-border receivables.

Our Swiss-based scale-up is growing fast, and we are looking for a Head of Operations for our operational division in Essen, Germany.

In order to be a successful applicant, you should be a responsible leader, who will be able to manage and lead the team in the direction of more efficient workflow methods. Broad knowledge of all aspects of the business is a must, as well as an analytical and strategic mindset.

Responsibilities:

Our new Head of Operations will be responsible for ensuring all operations run smoothly and our colleagues are motivated to perform at maximum efficiency. For this purpose, the following tasks will fall into the role:

· Be in charge and take operational responsibility for 2 European divisions compiled of 20+ employees;

· Work closely with other members of the senior management to formulate an effective strategy for the Operations department;

· Design policies that align with the overall strategy and ensure regulatory compliance;

· Study and analyze current processes and procedures, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary;

· Monitor and study key market changes, and suggest efficient implementation of such in order to optimize efficiency;

· Mentor and lead colleagues to reaching optimal results by developing and applying great practice, as well as setting an appropriate example;

· Be the face of Operations, lead communication, presentations, and negotiations, and manage relationships with clients, business partners, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

· Fluency in English and German, both written and verbal;

· At least 5 years experience in debt collection;

· A degree in Operations Management, or in the field of Business;

· Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity;

· Proven experience in team-leading and implementing operational processes;

· Analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude;

· Superior communication and negotiation skills in both external and internal environment;

· Strong decision-making and action-planning abilities, as well as adaptability to sudden change.
