EDANA, the leading international association for the nonwovens and related industries, is offering an exceptional growth opportunity for an experienced technical professional ready to make the leap from industry into an influential association environment. As the primary technical resource for EDANA, this role is ideal for someone eager to expand their impact, share expertise, and develop new leadership skills through collaboration and engagement.

Your Core Focus

  • Be the technical expert and first point of contact for technical and scientific questions from both the internal team and external members or stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of EDANAs test methods and support their ongoing review.
  • Advise on technical matters tied to innovation, advocacy, and regulatory affairs.
  • Represent EDANA in member working groups and industry-wide discussions, actively contributing to global collaboration.

Expanded Responsibilities

  • Track, analyze, and communicate scientific and technological innovations affecting the nonwovens field.
  • Take the lead on standardization activities (CEN/ISO), helping to ensure that industry priorities are met.
  • Oversee the Quality and Audit Programme (QAP), promoting best practices and harmonization within the sector.
  • Develop and deliver targeted technical training to members and other stakeholders, in partnership with other experts.
  • Support the planning and content delivery for EDANAs conferences and events.
  • Foster active member engagement by leading technical groups and nurturing collaborative relationships.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Masters degree or equivalent in science or engineering (e.g., Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics).
  • Minimum 10 years experience in a nonwovens or comparable industry, with readiness and motivation to move into an association context.
  • Ability to translate technical detail into clear, actionable guidance for varied audiences.
  • Familiarity with EU legislation and CEN/ISO standards is beneficial.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with a collegial, collaborative mindset.
