Field Engineer (Concrete)
About the job Field Engineer (Concrete)
Work Planning & Coordination:
- Plan daily and weekly concrete activities according to the master schedule.
- Coordinate with formwork, rebar, and MEP teams for proper sequencing and readiness before each pour.
- Organize and supervise manpower, equipment, and material needs related to concrete works.
Site Supervision:
- Supervise concrete pouring activities to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure proper handling, placing, and curing of concrete on site.
- Monitor progress with Area field engineers.
Methodology & Execution:
- Prepare casting sequences and method statements
- Ensure that site teams follow the approved construction methodology.
- Coordinate concrete pumping operations, access, lighting (for night pours), and logistics.
Concrete Supply Coordination:
- Coordinate with the batching plant and supplier for timely concrete deliveries.
- Ensure availability of necessary tools and equipment (poker vibrators, curing materials, etc.).
- Follow up on truck arrival times and manage site flow to avoid delays or congestion.
Progress Tracking:
- Record concrete quantities poured per area/day.
- Monitor productivity (m³/man/day, etc.) for internal analysis.
- Monitor concrete supply (batch time, truck mixer arrival, casting duration, etc…)
- Identify potential delays due to site readiness or resource constraints (excluding quality-related delays).
