About the job Project Leader
Responsibilities
1. Manages, oversees and controls the project(s) from receiving to delivery
1.1. Receives projects from Clients.
1.2. Ensures proper preparation of materials. Maintains control of all files and other work products according
to company standards
1.3. Ensures delivery of project files and billing details to the PTS, Client FTP and/or email
2. Project Creation & Preparation (PTS)
2.1. Job Order (JO) creation
2.2. Project structure & budgeting (Batch structures)
3. Project delivery (PTS)
3.1. Delivers project files and closes delivery task
4. Project-specific Client coordination. Manages Client expectations regarding project deliverables
4.1. Manages Client e-mails
4.2. Establishes complete project specification sheets for each deliverable project
4.3. Attaches all relevant production updates/instructions.
5. Project coordination with Team leaders
5.1. Specification review
5.1.1. Ensures completeness of specifications on daily arrivals
5.1.2. Specs review of on-going projects
5.2. Planning
5.2.1. Ensures planning of daily deliveries
5.2.2. Establishes weekly capacity planning
5.3. Daily meetings, to ensure proper project coordination
6. Customer Relations Management - Pro-active communication
6.1. Email Etiquette, Production queries, Management of client inquiries
6.2. Management of client complaints and communicate solutions.
7. Quality reporting
7.1. All quality related issues must be reported to the Compliance Officer.
7.2. Ensures quality issues before delivery are reported and solved
Qualifications
- 4-year Bachelors degree in any course
- Has at least 3 to 5 years experience in some aspect of the publishing process (XML, Graphics,
- Composition, QC) and 1 year experience in a lead role.
- Knowledge of basic quality assessment methods.
- Training or experience in project management methodology (planning, organizing, tracking)
- Basic leadership skills for guiding and coaching
