About the job Area Manager
Targets of the Position:
- Maximizes the sales of his stores.
- Ensures that the store´s general and daily operations are conducted according to the company’s rules and regulations.
- Takes all steps necessary for having excellent store employees.
- Ensures the lowest possible costs and highest productivity for all operations and procedures.
- Works in cooperation with all other departments in order to let the Company achieve better `results and be more successful.
Responsibilities:
- Visit each store at least every other day, check the cash balance (including safe) at least once a week and to draw up a store visit report per store at least once in a week. The store visit report has to be discussed in person with the Store Manager.
- Decide on hirings and dismissals of store employees, except Store Managers and deputies.
- Check the physical inventory counting of his stores and approves the counts.
- Ensure a good flow of information and documentation between the regional office and stores.
- Monitor competition and general market conditions in the area where his stores are located.

- Plan and organize the opening of new stores.
- Check whether the inventory and order procedures are according to the company´s rules and decisions.
- Train new store managers and reviews the training of cashiers.
- Decide on the holiday programs of store managers and deputies.
- Suggest new potential store managers to the Sales Manager and suggests dismissals.
- Participate in the Area Managers Meeting.
