About the job Logistics Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily inbound and outbound logistics including distribution, trucking, and warehousing activities.
- Manage and coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) and service providers, ensuring compliance with company standards and performance metrics.
- Supervise customs brokerage operations to ensure proper documentation and smooth clearance processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve delivery performance, cost efficiency, and warehouse productivity.
- Monitor fleet performance and ensure on-time dispatch, route optimization, and maintenance compliance.
- Lead and mentor the logistics team, ensuring adherence to safety and operational policies.
- Analyze logistics data and prepare reports on KPIs, service levels, and vendor performance.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments such as Procurement, Sales, and Finance to align logistics operations with business goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably from courier, e-commerce, or 3PL companies.
- Strong knowledge in brokerage, trucking, warehousing, and distribution management.
- Proven experience in managing local logistics partners, drivers, and warehouse personnel.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP/WMS/TMS systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
